Swisse was founded in the 1960s by Kevin Ring. Inspired by the natural approach to healthcare he found when travelling the world, he opened a wholefoods store in Melbourne and began developing wellness products.
Swisse Skincare grew from this profound yet simple heritage, producing products that are naturally nourishing for your skin.
WHAT WE PUT IN
Swisse Skincare is committed to providing a skincare range based on ingredients powered by nature.
These ingredients are highly effective in improving skin health, by working with the skin’s own natural processes, without causing disruption or harm. We continuously research and source the most up to date natural ingredients for our skincare range.
We use natural plant seed oils and botanical extracts in our products because of their high concentration of active compounds. Naturally high in antioxidants, vitamins and essential fatty acids, they improve the barrier function of the skin, boosting hydration and replenishing suppleness.
Powerful antioxidants are also important for skin health because they protect the skin from damage caused by environmental free radicals such as ultra violet light, smoke, pollution, and daily exposure to chemicals.
Vitamins such as vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), vitamin C and E also act as potent antioxidants, and further protect the skin from free radical damage.
These are just some of the ingredients featured across the range, included to protect, nourish and restore the health of the skin.
WHAT WE LEAVE OUT
At Swisse we don’t include any ingredients that do not constructively support the skin. This is in keeping with the first principle of natural medicine, which is to ‘do no harm’.
We exhaustively search for ingredients that do not have any potential for adverse or unhealthy effects on people or the environment.
You won’t find any of the following ingredients in the Swisse Skincare range:
Parabens, SLS, SLES, synthetic fragrances or colours, petrolatum, silicones, mineral oils, PEGS, TEA, DEA, urea, peroxide or animal products.
